Habits Used By Geniuses
As an entrepreneur you want to create habits that will keep you productive and successful. Creating routines, and getting rid of bad habits are essential to reach your goals.
Habits are routines and behavior that we repeat unconsciously. There are good habits like exercising, meditating, and having a nutritious meal. Then there are bad habits like smoking, drinking, and procrastinating. Our body already knows these routines such as putting our clothes on, brushing our teeth, driving to work, etc. and therefore we don’t think about it.
Obviously, you want to break the bad habits and to do so you must make your brain think differently. Moreover, it you want to change a bad habit, you must create another habit and be consistent with the new routine to achieve your goal(s).
For instance, if you want to improve your health you must create a habit of exercise and time to do it. You must tell yourself that there is time. One of the reason you became an entrepreneur is for time and freedom. There are 24 hours in your day. For instance you can divide those hours in 8 hours of work, 8 hours for yourself, and 8 hours of sleep. Then you can distribute the activities in those hours for yourself however you want. Include your exercise activity of 20, 30 or 45 minutes a day.
At the beginning, you will struggle because your body is used to the habit of being sedentary. You will have a battle with your mind, but remember your mind is in control not your body. You have a choice, and you will choose the best for your health.
